Oh goody!
It is time for the posturing and image cultivation of the American presidential debates. This debate is so structured it is sure to be more of a personality showcase than a gritty exchange over real issues. The content will be canned, scripted and hollow with the real tension escaping in stolen moments and indirect loaded comments.
The Republicans will have to get George on the right blend of meds. Enough to take the edge off of his ignorance-based rage yet not so much that he looks like a pallid lab chimp getting his first look at sunlight, (as in past scripted events).
Bush is a sound bite catchphrase delivery unit. He is like the clever parrot in the pet store that wins over the crowd by exceeding its limited expectations. He knows how to play po-dump, lil’ fake cowboy and many Americans seem to feast on this contrived faux-everyman façade.
This is the man whose government fell into a collective coma on 9/11/01 and allowed a conspiracy of the highest order to run its course.
They utilized the resulting terror and chaos over the last four years to rape the U.S. constitution and begin an Imperialist Military Industrial war profit operation that would forever change America’s place in the hearts and minds of the World.
The ever flip-flopping rationales presented by Bush/Cheney for the pre-emptive terrorism committed against Iraq never touch on the fact that America, the worlds number one consumer (waster), of Oil was about to lose its chance at monopolizing Iraq’s oil because the Chinese had signed massive oil field development contracts with the Saddam Hussein government.
They had to get in there before China.
Their friends had to get paid and the defensive “failure” of Sept. 11, 2001 was the multifunctional tool for manufacturing consent from a deceived, irrationally frightened and gullible American public.
A corrupt, acquiescent media armed with newly acceptable racism, xenophobia and the promise of bloody revenge replaced investigation, facts and understanding with blind “patriotism” and the loud bang of the vengeful war drum.
This pleased the millions of Americans who, in lieu of any personal accomplishment or integrity, supplement their egos and pride with the American nations ability to use tax dollars to pulverize, subjugate and humiliate third world nations.
The makeshift natural resource theft and mass murder in Iraq is wrapped in the flag and American national pride will be directly linked to “finishing” the job.
Magic continental oil pipelines do not build themselves and the freedom for America to do so must prevail.
America has killed ten times as many people in Iraq and Afghanistan as were killed in the U.S. on 9/11/01 and the death toll rises everyday. How many must die before the American public has had their revenge? The arrogance of nation building and gunpoint democracy in Iraq are not gifts from "god" ,as Bush likes to say, they are just more phony rationale for killing time while American oil companies siphon trillions in Iraqi oil and permanently entrench themselves in the Iraqi economic infrastructure.
I do not envy the task of John Kerry who must convince the ignorant masses that he will be just as arrogant and bellicose as The Bush Cartel while assuring the rest of America and the world that he won’t.
Whoever wins this drawn out psyops campaign will inherit the chaos of a failing, outsourced economy, a propagandized and ill informed society, a betrayed and over-extended military in a quagmire of mass murder, torture and war profiteering, a national debt that will extend well beyond our lifetimes and the ire and mistrust of the rest of the World.
If the Bush/Cheney Cartel of neo-conservative mass murderers, Religious Fundamentalist End-time Zealots, Military Industrial Complex and Big Oil win control of America for real this time, citizens of the world will have to steel themselves against the onslaught of an Evil American Empire.
The neo-conservative objective of Total War will become our permanent reality.
With the two given choices I hope that Kerry inherits what is left of the United States. I hope he can spit out a catch phrase or sound bite in these contrived debates that will lodge itself in what is left of American consciousness.
That seems to be what is has come down to. Which politician can grease up the most influential meme and set off a chain reaction. Unfortunately the propagation of misleading or untrue contrivances is the forte of Republicans. Ignorance is George Bush’s strength.
Learn Peace,

Why Americans back the War By James Carroll, Globe Columnist
"THE WAR IN IRAQ goes from worse to catastrophic. Hundreds of Iraqis were killed last week, as were two dozen US soldiers. Planned elections in January point less to democracy than civil war. Kidnapping has become a weapon of terror on the ground, matching the terror of US air attacks. An American "take-back" offensive threatens to escalate the violence immeasurably. The secretary general of the United Nations pronounced the American war illegal.
In the United States, an uneasy electorate keeps its distance from all of this. Polls show that most Americans maintain faith in the Bush administration's handling of the war, while others greet reports of the disasters more with resignation than passionate opposition. To the mounting horror of the world, the United States of America is relentlessly bringing about the systematic destruction of a small, unthreatening nation for no good reason. Why has this not gripped the conscience of this country?"
Why Not?
When the "Civilized World" cheapens life on such a massive scale will it not create a cascading global effect of self righteous preemptive terror wars by credibility challenged regimes (similar to the Bush/Cheney Military Industrial Cartel) with an otherwise unthinkable agenda to apply?
Is the United States so psychologically damaged by the Orwellian onslaught of malleable media regurgitation and jingoistic groupthink that they would endorse another four years of pre-emptive terrorism wars and the ransacking of the American middle class?
Cannot these exhausted minds step back and perceive the psychological operation that has been the American government through these last four years of manufactured global horror?
Have media, god, government and Playstation created a generation of youth who are willing to serve a tour of duty suppressing a nation by force whilst all the rationale for them being there boils down to American corporate interests and trillions of dollars worth of oil therein.
The invasion of Iraq created a new war far and apart from the so eloquently named War on a Tactic.
The shadowy Islamic radicals who executed 9/11/01 slipped into the ether of America's new perpetual nightmare reality mass mind construct only to have become anyone and everyone whenever the script demands.
Are the young American people so disenfranchised or replete that they feel ready for a tour in Vietraq? Are they aware of their remaining constitutional rights?
The sloppy and arrogantly brutal dispensation of the corporate oil invasion has left the country of occupied subjects livid toward the chaos and its benefactors. The imperial subjugation of a people with brute force for whatever reason must involve a societal sacrifice on the part of the occupier. As the last working social welfare system in the U.S., will the military serve up the indoctrinated starry-eyed believers who feel it is somehow their Earthly right to dictate with death how other nations might live?
Will another generation of middle and lower class tax bracket Americans give their children to the state to help perpetuate a murderous profit scheme wrapped in the flag of "national pride"?
There are so many Iraqi civilians dying in the occupation that many say the number of dead has since surpassed thirty thousand.
America should mend its own fences before rampaging for more fuel and the elevation of its already gilded class of Oil Barons and Military Industrial Profiteers.
Israel's Rafah Operation and our propaganda
CanWest Global continues its fine tradition of being Canada's answer to Rupert Murdoch's Fox Propaganda Service. Asper-vision, a hard right wing, pro war programming outlet continues its Likudnik reprogramming of reality with an everyday creeping subliminal twist of semantics. I was shocked by their trashy, "Know your Enemy" series about the growing 'Arab menace' but they have proven, yet again, to be quite willing to engage in the dispensation of disinformation for purposes of psychological conditioning. I avoid their 'Global' news service as little stink lines are consistently emanating from their integrity.
If I wanted to be conditioned to accept dehumanization I would just listen to the American mainstream media where the mass murder for profit scheme in Iraq is all too acceptable and us white folks are all at war with all of those "Crazy Islamic terrorists" otherwise know as (insert latest U.S. 'interest' here).

life gets cheaper.
He admits it is impossible to know the true figure because many bodies are simply buried and the deaths never registered. "Sometimes there are as many as 200 Iraqis killed in a single day," sighed Dr Khuzaie, flicking through a file showing the casualty figures. "The Iraqi people are being eradicated. We must stop this haemorrhage, this bleeding."
Doctors in Fallujah said at least eight people were killed and 16 wounded. Doctor Rafi Hayad said half of those killed and injured were children."

Home of the Brave.

This young woman was one of the only two (female) protesters who had big enough stones to penetrate Bushs artificial secret service reality bubble and call The Useful Idiot on his disgraceful and murderous record as appointed "president" during his talking points regurgitation.
Even though the crowd of glazed sheeple immediately dragged her away the Bushbot looked visibly disturbed by actual free speech and stumbled delivering the rest of his greed and fear diatribe. Thanks ladies, the world needed that.

From the "American Disgrace" files.
"Some protesters have complained bitterly about conditions at the temporary holding area set up at Pier 57 for processing convention-related arrests. One former detainee, Andrew Lynn, claimed he was held there for hours on end in "Guantanamo-style pens" - a reference to the U.S. military facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Police insist their Post Arrest Screening Site allows them to process mass arrests safely and promptly and avoid overwhelming neighborhood stationhouses."
The U.S. Open? Other events? Like what, the 3rd Ave. Street Fair? The grand opening celebration at a new Payless Shoe Source in Queens?
In other words, a year-round internment camp is now part of the ongoing West Side development project. Does the Olympic Committee know about this?"
