There are too many good, decent and freaky people in America to have their new status quo become the permanent American Way.

Moderates of the world under every banner and of every colour must unite now under the crush of the cynical profiteers disguised as righteous heroes. The cliché ridden cartoon simplicity of “good vs. evil” projected in the propaganda gushing forth from the U.S.A. and their newly empowered “enemies” must be countered at every turn.
The decent people of this world must stand together against the godless hate of this new world order.

I got over the fact that eloquence and inspirational creativity are better expressed by thousands of other Internet entities. I don’t give a shit if my blog or that woman standing on the curb with a sign that says Stop the killing will not topple that government tomorrow.

People cannot just waste back into their couch grooves and wait for the killing and hatred to just go away or have one side be killed off with some “final solution”.

Lest we Forget.

It is time once again to recall the horror of war and why it should be the very last resort in any situation,

not the first order of business as it has been for some nations in the last four years.

Tomorrow Canadians will observe our annual Remembrance Day.
I always wear my poppy on my lapel as soon as the Canadian Legion issues them.
I recognize the sacrifice of those Canadian boys and girls who have left our shores to fight real immanent threats in the real and just wars throughout history.
I also salute those young men and women who stand in foreign lands as peacekeepers trying to help nations whose people have lost their way and are trying to find it again.
To those soldiers who went to keep peace and ended up in a real war, however short, in the Medak Pocket - your valour is not forgotten and all Canadians owe you an immediate and far more thorough debt of gratitude and recognition.

I remember my Grandfather, G. Eddy - now deceased, who left a piece of himself on the battlefields of Italy and France fighting against a real menace to world freedom. Although I was not old enough to appreciate the sacrifices of my Grandfather and his generation while he was alive, I send words of thanks and eternal gratitude every year off into the cosmos in the hope that they might hear. To those old vets still with us - your sacrifice is not forgotten and I wish you all good health.

Thank you Grandpa - you make me proud to be a Canadian.

We all owe it to him, those like him and more so to those who never returned home to stand on guard now against corrupt and pernicious misleaders who lie to their citizens and soldiers in the manufacturing of consent for elaborate profit schemes wrapped in the flag of just cause. They who would send the young, trusting and brave off to die for cynical war profiteering against nations who present no real danger to us will have their own special place after they die in whatever dimension closely resembles the Christian myth of Hell.

On this eve of Remembrance Day I pause for thought, as I do every year, to consider the loss of my Grandfather who's life was sacrificed by the Nazi Army.

Freezing and nearly starving, he lamented the ongoing and unjust war in which he had no choice but to fight.

His last months were spent on the Russian front and his last thoughts no doubt included the realization that he would never live to see his yet unborn second child - my mother.

It saddens me all the more because I think of the many American soldiers who have died, and will die in parallel circumstances these many decades later, sacrificed for the will of the few, the good of the rich and to the detriment of many.

Half a century on another would-be Empire sending the young and strong to fight an unjust war in the name of their "moral values" - no matter the human cost, or the cost to humanity.

Ich denke an dir, mein Opa. I'm sorry we could never meet in this life, but I'm also glad that you didn't have to live to see your own history repeated.

Canada: No Third Party Assistance In Iraq

"Canadian forces, who have already been deployed in Afghanistan under the "Operation Enduring Freedom" banner, could be used in an increased capacity regarding Iraq; such as training Iraqi forces inside of Iraq itself or being used as guards at various facilities. This would, in no small way, represent a reversal of the Canadian position regarding the invasion of Iraq. (As it stands now, Canada has helped train Iraqi police forces in Jordan).

Despite the fact that major NATO members refused to support the United States and Britain in the initial endeavor, they are now being courted in an attempt to gain their commitments to accelerated training operations. This would, in no small way, relieve American forces of that task, allowing them to be used in the field. As with Afghanistan, US forces would be freed up to be used in direct US operations, wherever they might be."

America will have to murder about 20 percent of Iraq's population if they ever hope to siphon off their natural resources in "peace".

That is why the election will be just as contrived and phony as the Bush Regime's rationale for this criminal occupation.

But hey- there is Christmas shopping to be done and a great new fall line up on American television.
