End the Canadian Occupation of Afghanistan

Canadian "Peacemakers" kicking in doors and bagging heads in Afghanistan.
Who are they handing these people over to? American forces? The CIA?
Will they disappear into America's network of Torture Camps or be murdered by their interrogators as has often been the case in America's "War on a Noun"?

Well Canada - it has begun.
Our flag now flies over a token command in Kandahar - whoops they just took it down. I guess they don't want our role in "Operation Enduring Freedom" to appear like the patriarchal imperialism that it is.

In the eyes of the occupied, we are all Americans now.
The declaration of the “death of Canadian peacekeeping” and the birth of the new ominous weasel term "peacemaking" (read WAR) is at hand.

Paul Martin’s centre/right fake "liberals" had tried to keep our integration into the imperial American forces low key. They cultivated the illusion of Canadian occupation forces in Afghanistan as somehow being an independent "peacekeeping" mission.
At least that is how it was sold to the public initially.

Anybody with a brain was left asking the obvious question...
Are we keeping the peace between the American occupation forces and the people of Afghanistan? No - we are a minor adjunct of the Anglo-American command there and marching in tight lockstep with their patriarchal imperialist policy of invasion, occupation and so-called “nation building”.
Our officials have slowly been getting around to telling Canucks that our little adjunct of "Operation Enduring Orwell" over there in the land of pipelines, poppies and springboard military bases is indeed not "peacekeeping" not even "peacemaking", but WAR.

Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary defines "peacemaker" as :
"one who makes peace especially by reconciling parties at variance."
So if Canadians kicking in doors and bagging heads so they can turn these folks over to American forces/CIA for torture cannot be considered reconciling parties at variance we are ipso facto at war in Afghanistan.

From the CANADIAN D.O.D. website:
"With the closure of Camp Julien in Kabul, which will occur on 29 November 2005, most of the Canadian Forces personnel in Afghanistan, including the PRT, will be located in the Kandahar region as part of the United States campaign against terrorism called Operation ENDURING FREEDOM (OEF)."

Did you know Canada had signed on for the arrogant war crimes of Bush/Cheney's "Operation Enduring Freedom"?
Do you as a Canadian want to spend millions of your tax dollars in support of current American foreign policy, (read imperialism)?
There was no clear mandate given, no parliamentary vote and no public consultation just arrogant political lickspittles forfeiting Canada's sound international reputation to their warmongering/profiteering American masters.
Now "Operation Enduring Orwell" is neither peacekeeping nor peacemaking.
It is an invasion and occupation with the intent of wiping out one form of government (be it gawd-awful nasty or not) and installing and enforcing a puppet regime of your choosing.

The benefits of such an action have thus far been American dictatorial control of :
-the development of any future or current oil pipelines through the region
-the lucrative and Big Pharma desired control of Afghanistan’s opium poppies
(the production of which has quadrupled since the partial fall of the Taliban - also makes for some great CIA Black Ops funding)
- permanent control of 'springboard to the Middle East' military bases for future American 'regime change' invasions.

We answer to the Americans no matter how many token commands are exchanged. We are doing their imperialist dirty work.

Now the Americans, in their haste to get their hands on all that Iraqi crude, did a half-assed job of bombing Afghanistan’s infrastructure to paste and quickly moved on to oilier pastures. Their appointed puppet (ex-employee of Unocal Oil, surprise, surprise) Hamid Karzai has asked for a draw down of foreign troops in his country or at least some input where his master's occupation behaviour is concerned. I'm sure he got a pat on the head, a lollipop and a reminder that he is just a puppet.

This shit is as "Un-Canadian" as it gets but wait...
Hooray - we are not all drooling, hateful zombies!

Majority of Canadians do not support Afghanistan occupation.
"In the exclusive poll for CTV News and The Globe and Mail, The Strategic Counsel asked Canadians if they would vote in favour or against sending troops to Afghanistan. Just 27 per cent were in favour and 62 per cent were against.
Furthermore, 73 per cent of respondents said the decision to send troops to Afghanistan should require parliamentary approval, while 20 per cent said it should not."
CTV.CA

With our Neocon compliant corporate media banging the war drum and utilizing the pro-war weasel words so abused by the American media, you can easily assume the numbers of those opposing Canadians fighting Bush/Cheney's wars are higher than stated.
So what are we going to do about our bellicose Neocon warmongers and their dream come true of total integration of Canadian with American forces?
Our new minister of "defence" thinks some good propaganda P.R. will cure hapless peacenik Canadians of our 'ignorance'.

"The population out there doesn't really understand right now why we're there and what we're doing. You have to say the thing five, six, seven, eight times before it really gets through to a large number of people," he said.

The fake "liberals" got us into this hornet's nest of imperialist warcrimes so they will be of little or no help in stopping this snowballing catastrophe.

The blame for putting us to war for the American Crusade rests squarely on the shoulders of vanquished assholes Paul Martin, Bill Graham and their newly appointed Neocon attack dog General Paul “kill the scumbags” Hillier.

When Hillier came out with his shocking and grossly ‘Un-Canadian’ tirades alerting us to our nation's rancid new state of bellicosity with offensive rhetoric such as:
"We are not the Public Service of Canada" "We are not just another department.
We are the Canadian Forces and our job is to be able to kill people."

(Well Yee haaa, toughguy!)
all Paul Martin could muster in response was:
"The point he is simply making is we are at war with terrorism and we're not going to let them win."
That’s right Canada we are at ‘war with a noun’ in strict adherence to the Bush/Cheney’s foreign policy crusade. It only serves to highlight the electioneering audacity of Martin in the last go round representing himself as “independent” from American foreign policy.
He was nothing more than an imperialist suckling pig anxious to appease the Bush/Cheney Cartel for not participating in Operation Iraq Liberation.

I am glad to see him go and although the creature that replaced him is a hundred times worse, at least Harper is honest about his Neoconservative agenda of privatization and militarization.
He made that quite clear by appointing a former military industrial lobbyist as ‘defense’ minister. War shill Gordo O’Connor has made no bones about the fact that he wants to spend Canada’s budgetary surplus militarizing Canada and in a total reversal of our history turn us into an American-integrated offensive imperialist nation.
Of course his rationale for ending our peacekeeping tradition in favour of America's war is:

"We will stay the course because our mission in Afghanistan is important," O'Connor said
"It's important for the future of Afghanistan, it's important for the stability of the region and it's important for international security."
O'Connor said stability in the region is important to the international community, but is especially in Canada's interest.
"On September 11, 2001, terrorists attacked North America and Canadians were killed. Let me be clear: when terrorists attack Canadians, Canada will defend itself. That's why we're in Afghanistan,"

Of course – self defence because these Neocon shysters see Canada and America as one big country. Their foreign policy crimes, war crimes and eventual blowback are also ours - apparently.
He and his Neocon warmongers keep saying we won’t be swept into an Iraq style quagmire in Afghanistan but since the initial invasion the insurgency has only been building steam.

They tell us in one breath we won’t be stuck in a quagmire and then turn around and say we should expect our occupation to last generations.
It has been four years since the American Invasion and in a country with roughly the same population as Canada more Afghan citizens have kept their distance or joined the insurgency than have rallied to sign up for the American puppet army of Hamid Karzai.
Every tribesman in Afghanistan has a machine gun. If they wanted the Taliban out so badly they would have staged their own revolution. If they wanted a liberal democracy they would have begun to fight for it. It appears the only way America’s puppet government there can consolidate their power over the countryside beyond Kabul is with a foreign occupation.

It is all up to the NDP and their opposition to this war without a mandate has been mild to non-existent. Peace loving Canadians who do not want our nation inextricably linked to the criminal Bush Cartel need a leader and fast.

Forget the fact that more Canadians have died at the hands of American bombs in Afghanistan than at the hands of Afghani insurgents, forget the laundry list of war crimes committed by American forces and alphabet agencies there. Forget...

I guess we'll all see what Canadians think of their new role as America's junior imperialist lickspittles when more body bags start flying home.
It appears, presently, that Canada doesn’t mind dictating lifestyles and political systems with the gun barrel. Or do we?
I say not in my name.
At the time of posting this another Canadian is heading home in a coffin and four more have been injured by a roadside bomb.

A little anti-propaganda side note as the Canadian Military Command sends soldiers fanning out across the Canadian media to promote war as a lifestyle for Canadians:
If you pay your taxes you "SUPPORT THE TROOPS".
If you do not support this war you do not support government policy. See the difference and never let war mongers and their brainwashed thralls guilt trip you for having a conscience.
Remember what that did to the American public discourse.

"Canadian Values": As a signatory to the international land mine ban Canadian troops have refused to plant landmines in the already mine riddled Afghanistan countryside.
What happens?
American troops go ahead and mine the places Canadians won’t.
Canadian values take a back seat and disappear in this little pipelines and poppies gambit.

False flag terrorism - it is now only a matter of time.
The reasons for the occupation of Afghanistan are firmly rooted in the Bush Cartel's official conspiracy theory pertaining to the perpetrators of the 11/09/01 "terrorist" attacks on the U.S.
If you drink from their chalice of disinformation Kool-Aid and believe their half-assed conspiracy about that inside job then I guess you are o.k. with Total War against anybody who doesn't worship this weird Blue-Eyed War Jesus that I had never heard of before the rise of America's new Neoconservative imperialism.
With the appropriate Neocon puppets in place in our government we can expect our own contrived false flag terrorist attack on Canadian soil at anytime.
The fact that we now brazenly occupy a foreign land that has done NOTHING to Canadians is the perfect setup for patsy making. We have not developed the proper degree of hatred for Muslim nations and our Neocons will want to make sure that situation is remedied right fast. Canadians can expect a horror filled visit from the CIA funded, trained and manipulated patsies, Al CIAduh. (to use Kurt Nimmo's descriptive).

We will have our own visit from America's Orwellian Goldstein and the wheels of imperialist arrogance will spin out of control in the minds of all the little mouth-breathing Don Cherry templates among the excruciatingly uninformed Canadian public.

The sheep must have their newly minted hatred profitably directed (via chaos and fear) against the 'designated subhuman' enemy of our true controllers.

Now that Canada has shed the illusion of peacekeeping and committed to the multi-generational "Operation Enduring Freedom" as an arm of the American imperialist forces in Afghanistan the “patsies” are clearly distinguished for all the grazer/breeders stinking up their Canadian couches.
I predict we will receive a major false flag terror attack before the end of this decade by the same military industrial vampires that put America’s hatred and bigotry into narrow focus in 01’.

Fauxsama bin Goldstein will immediately take credit, the Neocons in Ottawa will finish what they are now starting and spend past our surplus and well into debt to heavily militarize Canada so we can join our glorious southern Neocon masters waging war against third world/oil rich/Muslim/ "Enemy of Israel" countries until every barrel of crude in the world has the stars and bars painted on the side and all the "Enemies of Israel" are 'vanquished' by western proxy armies.
Speak out and stop the war!

More Torture in Occupied Afghanistan
By Ted Rall

"Everyone loves Bush's war against Afghanistan, even though it was based on just as many lies as his assault on Iraq: Osama bin Laden probably wasn't in Afghanistan on 9/11 and was certainly not there by the time bombs began falling.

People approve even though, as in Iraq, Bush didn't send enough troops--8,000 where 500,000 were required--to provide basic security. Even though Afghans didn't greet us as liberators. Even though, as in Iraq, he installed a government composed of corrupt, violent and vengeful minorities, guaranteeing sectarian bloodshed and civil war.
And even though the news from U.S.-occupied Afghanistan--if you can find any--is as relentlessly bleak as that from Iraq. Afghanistan suffers its own litany of roadside bombs, suicide bombs, massacres of foreign aid workers, citizens terrorized by kidnappers and rapists. It even has its own Abu Ghraib."
