Apocalyptic Times
"Which conjures up the most obvious question. How can anyone measure the validity of any of these predictions? Unless the world actually ends, that is? After all, end times prophecies have been with us throughout history, with each
proving more inaccurate than the last.
Even so, there is something unique about our post-9/11 world that not only lends itself to bizarre supernatural assumptions, but the idea that such superstitions, if acted upon, could lead to self-fulfilling prophecies."

'World isn't ending'
"The solar eclipse is not an evil occurrence. It is not the end of the world. There is no need to panic. It is a wonderful expression of Nature"

"From heat waves to storms to floods to fires to massive glacial melts, the global climate seems to be crashing around us. Scientists have been calling this shot for decades. People have been living with backyard flocks of poultry since the dawn of civilization. But it wasn't until poultry production became modernized and birds were raised in much larger numbers and concentrations that a virulent bird flu evolved. Somehow, the virus that arose in Scotland found its way to China, where, as H5N1, it has been raging for more than a decade."

Popping Canada's N.W.O. Cherry

Canada’s armchair warriors, keyboard killers, and all around American wannabes are all a twitter with the finally public revelation that Canadian forces are interchangeable with the Anglo-American occupiers in Iraq.
It has been a real sore point of shame for these little Canuck warmongers that Canada did not outright jump on America’s natural resource/strategic military base slaughter wagon from the start.

Canada's fully Anglo-American integrated JTF2 Black Ops unit
delivering prisoners to the CIA/American forces for torture.

The West’s “Christofascist” equivalents to the “Islamofascists” are barely able to contain their glee at this calculated psyop operation designed to awaken Canadians to the fact that we are fully onboard with Bush/Cheney’s “War on a Noun”, wherever it goes.
The purposeful representation of this new Western occupation “crusade” as a “clash of civilizations” over religions/cultures is coldly calculated to get these religion driven non-thinkers riled up and blindly supporting what is really a crass war to consolidate energy concerns and power bases for the continued wars to come. The fascism-tinged total control of supposedly “democratic” societies through draconian “anti-terror” laws is also a desired objective of this New World Order and their “forever war”, fear-based agenda.
With our American puppet Neocons now openly promoting Canada as a 21st Century imperialist adjunct to America’s natural resource occupations, these bold and bellicose couch moistening wannabes are finally stiff with pride over the fact that Canada’s black ops teams are taking part in the crushing of the Western right wing’s designated untermenchen in Iraq as well as Afghanistan.
I suppose with the alleged month long occupation of Iraq by Canadian forces supposedly “training” for what is beginning to look more and more like a psyop “rescue”, we can all beam with pride that Canada is now indistinguishable from the U.S. where matters of foreign policy and illegal occupation of sovereign nations is concerned.
The very suspicious nature of Canada’s introduction to our new foreign policy of non-existent sovereignty, national borders and total integration with the Bush/Cheney regime’s New World Order is a big hit with those Canadian’s whose increasingly revealed hatred, bigotry and bloodlust is finally being satiated by their bellicose Neocon Canadian government.
Our new Neoconservative government’s coming out party for our American-integrated armed forces has the tainted stench of set-up written all over it.
It was really a clever way to have even seemingly reasonable, so-called “progressive” Canadians join in the groupthink, stand and give a big “huzzah” for Canada’s willingness to “take care of our own” despite the fact that the British SAS and the many different levels of American occupation forces could have readily handled the storming of the curiously empty “Sword of Righteousness Brigade” prop house that held the CPT hostages without Canadian forces integration.
They were there for the purpose of (not so subtly) enlightening Canadians to the true nature of our participation in not only, "Operation Enduring Freedom" but also, "Operation Iraq Liberation".
They were there to bust our "psychological cherries".
I’m continuing to wonder how much of the “Christian Peacemaker Teams”,
(whose doctrine is the closest thing I’ve seen to that of the Christ compared to all these warmongering “Christofascists” bleating for race wars), are useful dupes utilized as “hippy” and “ingrate” targets by the “Christofascist” keyboard corps and their controllers or how many are infiltrating American Cointelpro,
(or the CSIS equivalents in Canada).
The so called “left” merge with the rancid right in their delusional belief that Canadian militarism and occupation doctrines are somehow the “benevolent” or “good guy” portions of Western imperialism has been cleared up in one quick psyop.
We are all the same.
But no, they cry,our boys aren’t the ass-raping, baby killing war criminals that the American forces have fast become in the moral wilderness of the Anglo-American Middle Eastern Occupation. We bounce candy off of kid’s foreheads and hand out blankets and rice before we shoot their parents.
We have great, benevolent, multi-billion dollar Canadian taxpayer-funded national welfare programs that help Islamist governments like the CIA/American puppet Hamid Karzai’s rebuild their Warlord juntas so their brand of Western fascist friendly fundamentalism can win out over the other CIA / ISI created and funded fundamentalist “freedom fighters” turned scourge of the West for the purposes of "forever war".
Of course nobody is supposed to mind or protest this slide into imperialism because Paul Martin’s right wing fake “Liberals” had started Canada down this long and filthy road to deep integration with the United States government and foreign policy.
As I have stated repeatedly, aside from a few relatively inconsequential domestic policy differences,
(matters which usually fall into the realm of bigoted religionist intolerance versus basic civil rights and human decency), the fake “Liberals” and the Canadian Neocons are merely two interchangeable sides of the same rotten coin.
(See David Emerson, Belinda Stronach, Scott Brison, et all…)
The fake “Liberals” appeal to the “progressive wing” of Canadian politics with their token social issues, while the Neocons make their crass appeals for groupthink (or more appropriately non-think) to greed driven corporatists, religious zealots, and racists.

G.W. Bus..er..Steve Harper does his best soldier prop photo op.
The fact that the fake “Liberals” did their best to hogtie gullible progressives who foolishly swallowed their fake “liberalism” where matters of Canadian deep integration into American foreign policy are concerned should not come as a surprise to anybody who is paying attention to the bigger picture.
(My apologies to all of the “Liberal bloggers” out there who still entertain the naïve notion that they stand for something different than their Neocon “enemies”.)
I think it is pretty safe to assume that with this new “revelation operation” to open the pied eyes of Canadians to the real slide of Canadian tax dollars and armed forces into the Neoconservative/Zionist agenda this is also the subconscious wake up call to the fact that our vaunted, top secret JTF2 has been and will continue to be operating in the Iraq theatre, totally integrated with the Anglo-American occupiers.
And you thought they were out there in the hills of occupied Afghanistan hunting for CIA asset Fauxsama bin Goldstein – silly rabbits.
Welcome to the New World Order, Canada – it sure hurts to get your cherry popped by the big, meaty, military macho men and their “Christofascist” racist thralls, doesn’t it?
With Americans waking up to the scam while Canadians go down on it, I would imagine the Neocon/Zionist interests are looking for another Western city to light up with another fake “terror” attack.
Since “Pre-emptive protectors of the American herd” is the only working illusion the American Neocons have left in the “Homeland” another strike in the U.S. will not be an option unless (the other side of the false American left/right paradigm) the Democrats can somehow seize power despite all of their fake “liberal” waffling.
Being close enough and similar enough to the States I would imagine that Toronto is looking pretty good to these "forever war" fascists right about now for another false flag hit.
While the American taxpayers are beaten down, tapped out and awakening to the fascist Bush/Cheney scam, the fat Canadian surplus and emerging legions of gung-ho militarists make Canada a suitable target for putting an end to all rational thought in the West and exorcising the last of the real progressive devils who dare to peek behind the curtain and expose the Fascist wizards playing both sides against the middle.
A Canadian “9/11” will remind Americans to shut up and learn to love total, overt fascism.
Canadians will greet the siphoning off of their national public surplus by military industrial war profiteers as “a necessary evil” in the fight to defend the now amorphous concepts of “freedom and democracy”, for which the entire world hates us all according to the warped and child-like logic of right wing fascists.
Here’s to Canada’s new, fully overt integration into the Neoconservative/Zionist, proxy army forever war.
Please, blue-eyed war Jesus, come and kill us all soon.

CANADIAN FORCES OPERATING IN IRAQ

Canadian General Takes Senior Command Role in Iraq
by Jon Elmer and Anthony Fenton
Global Research, January 25, 2008
"Unlike the Canadian deployment in Afghanistan, which is subject to relatively significant coverage domestically, Canada's participation in Iraq is handled much more carefully by Canadian officials.
Defence Minister Peter MacKay did not return a call seeking comment and no official statement has accompanied Matern's recent deployment."

"Canadian frigates continue to operate alongside the U.S. aircraft carriers in the Arabian Gulf that are a primary staging platform for bombing raids in Iraq.

Indeed, during the first week of the war in 2003, then-U.S. Ambassador to Canada, Paul Cellucci, said that Canada had provided "more support indirectly to this war in Iraq than most of the 46 countries that are fully supporting our efforts there."

Canada’s secret war in Iraq
"Most Canadians still proudly believe that their government refused to join the Iraq War.
Nothing could be further from the truth."

"Hostage" Drama: The Fake Pretext for Occupation Revelation
The release of the CPT members is good news but the more I hear about the story the more I begin to doubt its reality.
With the good news about the release of the CPT hostages held in Iraq by the very suspicious "Swords of Righteousness Brigade" comes the revelation of the fact that Canadian forces are operating on the ground in Iraq.
NOTE: Since both of these Canadian news services ran the first drafts of this story the quotes below have been scrubbed or altered on the CTV and CBC websites.

From CTV.CA:

"CTV News has learned that Canada's elite Joint-Task Force 2 was involved in the rescue in western Baghdad.
"We're told that Canadian special forces and British special forces played a very key role," CTV's Robert Fife told Newsnet.
British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw, speaking in London, said the Mounties were also involved in the rescue, but an RCMP spokesman would not confirm that."
LINK

Parliament should be called for an emergency debate and questions about this betrayal of Canadian public trust by our Neoconservative government.
My good pal Amelopsis asks the questions we should all be asking:
1. WHY?
2. SINCE WHEN?
3. WHAT ARE THEY DOING?
4. HOW LONG WILL THEY STAY?
5. WHY DIDN'T YOU DEBATE THIS IN THE HOUSE?
6. WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL CANADIAN CITIZENS?

Even the faltering CBC is reporting this now:
"Canadian military personnel were involved in the operation, according to Pentagon sources, but it's not clear how many took part or what their role was. There have been reports that members of Canada's top secret commando unit, Joint Task Force 2, have been working in Iraq."
LINK

Steve Harper is falling back on "National Security" as a reason to "not comment".
Sounds familiar doesn't it?
More recycled rhetoric spouting from our Neocon blowhole.

How long have Canadian special forces been in Iraq and who are they working for?

Unleash the Dogs of Peace

Here are some shaky snaps from the March 18 Anti-war rally in Toronto.
Many people, from the political “centre” to the very fringes of the so-called “left” were in attendance.
I wish many of the like-minded people who stayed home because of the perceived futility of such events had made the effort to come out.
I agree that “resistance” seems futile but I am still compelled to step out anyway.

Out of all of the "Peace Dogs" spotted in the crowd this dude was the cutest.
His t-shirt reads,
“Don’t unleash the Dogs of War on Iran”.

The crowd was large and diverse.

I shot myself:
My old collage, originally from the first (and biggest) anti-war demo in 03 has seen its last march. Weather beaten and not reflecting my opposition to Canada’s accelerated role in American foreign policy, it will be recycled.
I had hoped it would not see so many marches. I was wrong.
It will have to be replaced...

Take any number you might have heard quoted (if at all) by our sold-out MSM and double it.

Why do I March?
First and foremost I take part in these protests because as someone who has ceased to believe the surreal lies of our craven Western leaders put forward as rationales for bloody foreign occupations – it is the very least I can do.

I find it very valuable to discuss the issues with the people who attend such rallies.
The many alternative perspectives of other like-minded truth and justice seekers expand my perspective.

I just simply learn more about our world and its people at these events.
I do not entertain any illusions that our Neoconservative puppet government would view the thousands on the streets protesting the natural resource wars, ignorant religious hatred and foreign lobbies that dictate Canadian and American foreign policy and suddenly be compelled to work for any kind of reality based equity or balanced justice at the loss of the massive war profits garnered by their benefactors.

It is the citizens who must be nudged from their slumber by whatever means available.
Without an honest or accountable media the means are very limited and contained.

We should be there at these protests; first and foremost, for our fellow citizens to observe, question, or feel comforted by seeing others participate.
With the fact that so many are willing to stand in the cold and make their plea for peace and real justice, those timid or uninspired who might also harbour doubts about the false matrix under which we live could possibly be emboldened to look further than our corrupt, propaganda spoon feeding media.
They might look up from their disinformation boxes and begin to seek honest and unbiased perspectives about why war is the first action resorted to by our racist and greed driven governments.
The thick veil of disinformation thrown over the eyes of Western citizens is very effective and works very well toward its end of reducing empowered “citizens” to mere victimized, self-pitying “consumers”.

As anti-war/anti-occupation groups assemble, then later fan out into the city carrying their messages for anybody who wants to know or hear, the real value of such events is realized. Such protests are the only times when you can stand in the street holding a placard and dialoguing with the public without being arrested and hauled off as though you are a disruptive nuisance to the greater commercial society.

I have relished the short conversations both positive and negative with people who would see my protest placard and enquire as to my reasons and rationales for making such a statement and carrying it to the streets.
It is within these dialogues when those who would enquire actually reveal the fact that they are unaware of the underlying causes of war and occupation.
They question the recycled rhetoric of our disingenuous government but have no idea where to begin to seek answers beyond our useless disinformation media.

These tiny, fleeting moments of mutual enlightenment make a cold afternoon on the street well worth it for me.

Change begins one person at a time.

I have noticed that since people began marching at protests against the American Bush/Cheney regime in 2003, each following year the crowds have dwindled.
Have people sensed the futility of their pleas and the greater public’s wilful ignorance or cultivated spite of the subject matter adorning their placards?
Have they given up the ghost of hope that so inspired them to walk in the cold shadows of the towers of industry in more hopeful days?

This past Saturday, after three years of bloody international mass murder, volumes of audacious lies told and disinformation disseminated to keep it all going, the Toronto crowd seemed to grow a bit larger once again.

Perhaps it was larger because Canadians are reacting to the fact that the foot soldiers of empire are shipping out from their own backyards now, adorned with the same red leaf that hangs over the institutions of their daily lives. It still did not approach the 80 thousand or so that clogged the city streets in 03 and made even the most jaded shopping bag shuttling, cell phone gabbing urbane dandies and well coifed “it” girls stop dead in their tracks and stare slack jawed at the awesome throng.

I must say that last Saturday I did notice many of the exfoliated visages and expertly fussed hairdos straining out of the salon, coffee shop and clothing store windows to observe this trimmed down mob of chanting, sign wielding citizens have their moment of protest on these corridors of commerce usually clogged with the idling gridlock of status machines, public transit and occasional practical personal people movers.

Observing some cool teen snapping cell phone pictures and proclaiming to the other teen on the end of the phone connection, “Dude, there is a HUGE demonstration going on down here!”
I realized that the new media for the people is the people.
Perhaps “the dude” and his picture snapping messenger might discuss what was seen and heard. Maybe a dialogue might ensue where once a vacuum of one-way consumption had previously existed.
Perhaps, just perhaps, these youth might consider the gathering of more self-edifying information or even attempt to act toward change. The individual increments of exited teens snapping cell phone pictures and complacent trend riders being turned on to conversation about the world around them are the “flapping of butterfly wings”.

They are tiny steps down the road to greater societal thought. That is what concerned citizens seeking honest discourse are reduced to now in the face of a Media Industrial Complex that profits just as much from chaos and bloodshed as those who promote blind hatred and sell the weaponry to those who wish to act upon it.

Give me an outlet and I will speak to any hip teen or curious senior citizen who wants to listen. I will converse with one person at a time in order to facilitate a ripple effect.

You could also be writing letters to those in power who might possibly affect any sort of change to our ignorance-based, patriarchal Western attitudes toward the Middle East and take the time to speak to people in your midst with an informed dialogue concerning the reality of the reasons behind America’s (and now Canada’s) shadow wars and occupations for profit and power. Despite the raging tide of commercial disinformation and resultant public apathy or fear-based loathing, I still refuse to fold under the cynical weight of despair.

If only one person began to open their eyes and become inquisitive as a result of my marching in the streets, then my time was well spent.

Distractions: Wheel of Time, Dowel Face, Purple Cart, and Kid Devo

While writing a post about our fearless leader doing his best W. Bush imitation posing with soldiers for photo-ops to sell the war in Afghanistan I realized I have been neglecting the distractions that make life not so homicidal…

An Introduction to the Kalachakra or Wheel of Time.

"Your profile captured forever in an object of art.
An optical illusion of shadow and light, each one unique because it’s you!"
Have your profile hand carved into a “Pirolette”.
This sort of reminds me of the impressions left when characters in old cartoons would bang into walls.

"Purple Cart" by A. Perrone
With endless war being sold to Canadians as a lifestyle accessory I would like to honour all of the heroic consumers on the home front.
From an exchange with a 20 something in a local store:

"Like, I just don’t follow that stuff… if there is a war it doesn’t affect me."
Man, war is hell, if you're paying attention...
I guess that's the key to undertaking multi-billion dollar, multi-generational lethal foreign occupations.Total public indifference.

WHY?

As a young spud in the awful 80's I was a big fan of techno/synth innovators Devo.
From Disney, the premiere purveyors of cultural sewage, comes
Dev2.0.
I don’t think they’ll tackle any of Devo’s less than subtle lyrics like:
"I got a rocket in my pocket and I don’t know what to do,
Like a plug without a socket, I’m just waitin’ round for you…"

but I hear they do a cover of Devo’s ode to teen boy masturbation, “Uncontrollable Urge”.
More useless shit most definitely worthy of a WHY?

Canada at War: Far wiser minds than mine refute our Neoconservative government's call for groupthink compliance with our participation in Bush/Cheney's "Operation Enduring Freedom"

Why Canada should get out of Afghanistan
James Laxer
"In our day, the United States is involved in an unwinnable struggle for hegemony in Iraq, Afghanistan and much of the rest of the Middle East and Central Asia. Canada should stand aside.
In Afghanistan, Canadian troops are not engaged in peacekeeping.
They are involved on one side in a civil war.
While Canadians have been rightly proud of this country’s decision to stay out of Iraq, they have paid insufficient attention to the fact that the former Liberal government drew us ever more deeply into Afghanistan. The mission now entrusted to Canadian and other coalition troops in southern Afghanistan, under the command of Canadian Brigadier-General David Fraser, is no less a war mission than the campaigns being fought by the British and Americans in Iraq."

Why Canada Should Not Be In Afghanistan And Other Post-Modern Travesties
Robert Billyard
"Oddly enough, Liberal defence critic Ujjal Dosanjh does not feel it is the job of parliament to argue about whether Canadian troops should be in Afghanistan, but rather to convince Canadians why they should be there.
But then maybe the reverse holds true: It falls on the shoulders of Canadians to convince our not so nimble-witted politicians why we should not be there.
Mr. Dosanjh must first of all be reminded that the purpose of parliament is not to propagandize Canadians; it is to debate just such issues vigorously and openly. The fact that our troops are already there without any such debate is in itself a legitimate cause for concern among Canadians.
There is actually an overabundance of reasons why Canadians should not support this mission starting with the original invasion of Afghanistan."

The Cost of Canada's Afghan War
Over 2 Billion dollars and counting...
"Canadian taxpayers have spent more than $2 billion on the country’s ongoing military mission to Afghanistan, with the cost of the latest deployment to Kandahar largely still to come.

So far, the Canadian Forces commitment to Afghanistan, which started ramping up in late 2001, has cost $1.7 billion, according to figures provided by the Department of National Defence. But that overall figure, which represents what the department calls “incremental costs,” does not include the wages of military personnel or wear and tear on aging equipment used overseas.

It also doesn’t include the purchase of major new equipment for the mission. So far the Canadian Forces has spent or set aside another $330 million for emergency equipment purchases for Afghanistan, ranging from new armoured vehicles to surveillance drones.
In addition, Afghanistan has also become Canada’s single largest recipient of bilateral aid. According to figures provided by the Canadian International Development Agency, Canada will have provided $616 million in aid to Afghanistan by 2009. In the years immediately preceding the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the U.S., Canada had given about $10 million in annual aid to Afghanistan."

Satellite State
Rev. Blair
"Unlike other allies of the United States, we do not question the Bush administration’s apparent disdain for international law. Unlike Britain, we do not demand the release of Canadian citizens held in Guantanamo Bay. Unlike Germany under its new, pro-Bush, government lead by Angela Merkel, we have not asked questions about illegal prisons in Europe. Unlike the United Nations, who the Harper government likes to say we are working under in Afghanistan, we have not come out against illegal detentions and the conditions at Guantanamo Bay.

We have not spoken out against torture or illegal renditions. We have not questioned the government of the United States about their policies on torture. On these issues Stephen Harper and the few members of his party that he trusts to speak in public have been as silent as their predecessors in the Martin government."

Canadian Media - "Catapulting the Propaganda"

"Embedded" War Shill Peter Mansbridge gives CTV's "embedded" Lisa Laflamme a run for her propaganda money.
Last Monday I watched the most subtly revolting bit of propagandistic manipulation come out of the pro-war CBC.
CBC News Anchor Peter Mansbridge rushed over to Afghanistan to ‘embed’ himself with the troops in the face of rising public concern and rejection of Canada’s “transformed” role in Bush/Cheney’s “Operation Enduring Freedom”,
(A term the media here never dares mention).
In his ‘report’ Mansbridge had a ‘sit down’ interview with a local Kandahar Mullah, a Mujhadeen Warlord who seemed to have a great deal of knowledge about the Canadian public’s apprehension toward Canada’s involvement in Bush/Cheney’s war. He was quite concerned with appeasing the Canadian public’s lack of desire for war.
All of this Mujahadeen Warlord’s talking points were in order:He implied Canada must “defend” itself by establishing “security” in Afghanistan. The Warlord mentioned that Canadians must be willing to “sacrifice” and die in order to secure Canada’s own “defense” through the occupation of Afghanistan.
He was very much in favour of the Canadian occupation.

Peter neglected to ask if perhaps this accommodating Mullah had ever been or was a member of the CIA trained and funded Mujahadeen who had been active in Afghanistan since the 1980’s.
The CIA in conjunction with Pakistan's ISI created, funded and trained a base of Mujahadeen “freedom fighters” they called “al Qaeda” in order to fight the insurgency against the then Soviet Union’s occupation of Afghanistan.
I was quite curious to know if this wonderfully ‘on message’ Mullah had ever utilized CIA training or funding in order to consolidate his considerable power and influence in the region. Had he ever been associated with Osama bin Laden’s CIA database of “al Qaeda freedom fighters” that would later rise to prominence as the primary reason for the Anglo-American invasion and occupation of several Oil /Narcotic rich Middle Eastern nations?
Peter wasn’t curious.
Mansbridge had also neglected to ask this influential Warlord how much of his time, money and how many of his personal militia soldiers he had used to secure the safety of American appointed ‘President’ Hamid Karzai.
Peter Mansbridge was not at all curious. He had a specific job to do.
In this uncanny new tradition of painfully incurious yet convincingly on ‘government compliant message’ journalists who fly in, embed and collect their pro-war sound bites to mold the public opinion to the Neocon government’s desired effect, he had no edifying questions at all. He just stayed on the message that this strangely Canadian media savvy Mujahadeen Mullah had for him.
“Canada at war is good for Canada”.
(Because after all, "War is Peace" now in the Western Media)
This wealthy and powerful Warlord Mullah who Mansbridge interviewed as somehow representative of the ‘Afghanistan everyman’ then took our adoring reporter on a tour of his garage where he claimed he had one of Taliban Mullah Omar’s personal armoured Land Rovers parked.
Peter didn't skip a beat. He makes the (not so) shocking segue straight to the trial of Zacarias Moussaoui America’s only captured member of ‘al Qaeda’ with tentative links to the Bush Regime’s official (same day) conspiracy theory of 11/09/01.
Mansbridge then proceeded to link 11/09/01 to the reasons for the Afghanistan occupation and then (not so subtly) added the official Bush Regime link - sewing it all together with the Iraq invasion and occupation.
So let’s retrace Peter Mansbridge and the CBC’s not so subtle propaganda pieces together.

Canada is at war in Afghanistan because of the 09/11/01 attacks on America which resulted in not only America’s attack on Afghanistan but also (Peter made the leap without blinking) their invasion and occupation of Iraq.
Oh, and don’t forget that Mujahadeen Warlords (whose backgrounds just aren’t important) can’t stress enough that Canada’s security is at risk if we do not stay in Afghanistan until the Bush Regime’s appointed government is in total control of an Afghan countryside that has not been totally controlled by any one entity for generations.
Let’s just gloss over the fact that these “al Qaeda” Warlord war criminals now sit in Afghanistan’s American-elevated parliament.
These fellows who actively seek the repression of women’s rights, actively cultivate private government-protected Opium Poppy fields and solicit blood money to be America’s assassins in Afghanistan, (the preferred military industrial term is “private security contractors”). They are loathed by the vast segment of the civilian population that does not profit by their deeds and are propped up by the Canadian military presence.

Mansbridge’s report wraps up with bagpipes, flags and images of our occupation forces and their weapons.
Where Canada at war is concerned, The CBC is no longer a credible or trustworthy source of unbiased reporting. They have chosen a bias on the side of Canada staying firmly embedded in Bush/Cheney’s “Operation Enduring Freedom” .

The Neoconservative government has stated there will be no debate about Canada’s escalating role in America’s Middle Eastern wars.
They claim it will: "Hurt the moral of the troops" so Canadians should just stop demanding accountability, timelines or debate and “support the troops”.
Sound familiar?
If people don’t stand up against this ‘foreign occupation as a Canadian lifestyle accessory’ now - we are all deep in the N.W.O. shit.
The Canadian media is on board with the Neoconservatives.
If you don’t wish to be spoon-fed pro war propaganda every night you should seek your news and information elsewhere.
The CBC has added the competent reportage of the respectable Carol Off, (host of the CBC's predictably cancelled
“Counterspin” program), whose insightful and balanced reports inevitably contradict the embedded war-cheerleading of Peter Mansbridge.
Is it enough to keep you coming back to the newly minted Neocon propaganda trough that the once respectable CBC television has become?
I’ll take a pass.

End the Canadian Occupation of Afghanistan

Canadian "Peacemakers" kicking in doors and bagging heads in Afghanistan.
Who are they handing these people over to? American forces? The CIA?
Will they disappear into America's network of Torture Camps or be murdered by their interrogators as has often been the case in America's "War on a Noun"?

Well Canada - it has begun.
Our flag now flies over a token command in Kandahar - whoops they just took it down. I guess they don't want our role in "Operation Enduring Freedom" to appear like the patriarchal imperialism that it is.

In the eyes of the occupied, we are all Americans now.
The declaration of the “death of Canadian peacekeeping” and the birth of the new ominous weasel term "peacemaking" (read WAR) is at hand.

Paul Martin’s centre/right fake "liberals" had tried to keep our integration into the imperial American forces low key. They cultivated the illusion of Canadian occupation forces in Afghanistan as somehow being an independent "peacekeeping" mission.
At least that is how it was sold to the public initially.

Anybody with a brain was left asking the obvious question...
Are we keeping the peace between the American occupation forces and the people of Afghanistan? No - we are a minor adjunct of the Anglo-American command there and marching in tight lockstep with their patriarchal imperialist policy of invasion, occupation and so-called “nation building”.
Our officials have slowly been getting around to telling Canucks that our little adjunct of "Operation Enduring Orwell" over there in the land of pipelines, poppies and springboard military bases is indeed not "peacekeeping" not even "peacemaking", but WAR.

Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary defines "peacemaker" as :
"one who makes peace especially by reconciling parties at variance."
So if Canadians kicking in doors and bagging heads so they can turn these folks over to American forces/CIA for torture cannot be considered reconciling parties at variance we are ipso facto at war in Afghanistan.

From the CANADIAN D.O.D. website:
"With the closure of Camp Julien in Kabul, which will occur on 29 November 2005, most of the Canadian Forces personnel in Afghanistan, including the PRT, will be located in the Kandahar region as part of the United States campaign against terrorism called Operation ENDURING FREEDOM (OEF)."

Did you know Canada had signed on for the arrogant war crimes of Bush/Cheney's "Operation Enduring Freedom"?
Do you as a Canadian want to spend millions of your tax dollars in support of current American foreign policy, (read imperialism)?
There was no clear mandate given, no parliamentary vote and no public consultation just arrogant political lickspittles forfeiting Canada's sound international reputation to their warmongering/profiteering American masters.
Now "Operation Enduring Orwell" is neither peacekeeping nor peacemaking.
It is an invasion and occupation with the intent of wiping out one form of government (be it gawd-awful nasty or not) and installing and enforcing a puppet regime of your choosing.

The benefits of such an action have thus far been American dictatorial control of :
-the development of any future or current oil pipelines through the region
-the lucrative and Big Pharma desired control of Afghanistan’s opium poppies
(the production of which has quadrupled since the partial fall of the Taliban - also makes for some great CIA Black Ops funding)
- permanent control of 'springboard to the Middle East' military bases for future American 'regime change' invasions.

We answer to the Americans no matter how many token commands are exchanged. We are doing their imperialist dirty work.

Now the Americans, in their haste to get their hands on all that Iraqi crude, did a half-assed job of bombing Afghanistan’s infrastructure to paste and quickly moved on to oilier pastures. Their appointed puppet (ex-employee of Unocal Oil, surprise, surprise) Hamid Karzai has asked for a draw down of foreign troops in his country or at least some input where his master's occupation behaviour is concerned. I'm sure he got a pat on the head, a lollipop and a reminder that he is just a puppet.

This shit is as "Un-Canadian" as it gets but wait...
Hooray - we are not all drooling, hateful zombies!

Majority of Canadians do not support Afghanistan occupation.
"In the exclusive poll for CTV News and The Globe and Mail, The Strategic Counsel asked Canadians if they would vote in favour or against sending troops to Afghanistan. Just 27 per cent were in favour and 62 per cent were against.
Furthermore, 73 per cent of respondents said the decision to send troops to Afghanistan should require parliamentary approval, while 20 per cent said it should not."
CTV.CA

With our Neocon compliant corporate media banging the war drum and utilizing the pro-war weasel words so abused by the American media, you can easily assume the numbers of those opposing Canadians fighting Bush/Cheney's wars are higher than stated.
So what are we going to do about our bellicose Neocon warmongers and their dream come true of total integration of Canadian with American forces?
Our new minister of "defence" thinks some good propaganda P.R. will cure hapless peacenik Canadians of our 'ignorance'.

"The population out there doesn't really understand right now why we're there and what we're doing. You have to say the thing five, six, seven, eight times before it really gets through to a large number of people," he said.

The fake "liberals" got us into this hornet's nest of imperialist warcrimes so they will be of little or no help in stopping this snowballing catastrophe.

The blame for putting us to war for the American Crusade rests squarely on the shoulders of vanquished assholes Paul Martin, Bill Graham and their newly appointed Neocon attack dog General Paul “kill the scumbags” Hillier.

When Hillier came out with his shocking and grossly ‘Un-Canadian’ tirades alerting us to our nation's rancid new state of bellicosity with offensive rhetoric such as:
"We are not the Public Service of Canada" "We are not just another department.
We are the Canadian Forces and our job is to be able to kill people."

(Well Yee haaa, toughguy!)
all Paul Martin could muster in response was:
"The point he is simply making is we are at war with terrorism and we're not going to let them win."
That’s right Canada we are at ‘war with a noun’ in strict adherence to the Bush/Cheney’s foreign policy crusade. It only serves to highlight the electioneering audacity of Martin in the last go round representing himself as “independent” from American foreign policy.
He was nothing more than an imperialist suckling pig anxious to appease the Bush/Cheney Cartel for not participating in Operation Iraq Liberation.

I am glad to see him go and although the creature that replaced him is a hundred times worse, at least Harper is honest about his Neoconservative agenda of privatization and militarization.
He made that quite clear by appointing a former military industrial lobbyist as ‘defense’ minister. War shill Gordo O’Connor has made no bones about the fact that he wants to spend Canada’s budgetary surplus militarizing Canada and in a total reversal of our history turn us into an American-integrated offensive imperialist nation.
Of course his rationale for ending our peacekeeping tradition in favour of America's war is:

"We will stay the course because our mission in Afghanistan is important," O'Connor said
"It's important for the future of Afghanistan, it's important for the stability of the region and it's important for international security."
O'Connor said stability in the region is important to the international community, but is especially in Canada's interest.
"On September 11, 2001, terrorists attacked North America and Canadians were killed. Let me be clear: when terrorists attack Canadians, Canada will defend itself. That's why we're in Afghanistan,"

Of course – self defence because these Neocon shysters see Canada and America as one big country. Their foreign policy crimes, war crimes and eventual blowback are also ours - apparently.
He and his Neocon warmongers keep saying we won’t be swept into an Iraq style quagmire in Afghanistan but since the initial invasion the insurgency has only been building steam.

They tell us in one breath we won’t be stuck in a quagmire and then turn around and say we should expect our occupation to last generations.
It has been four years since the American Invasion and in a country with roughly the same population as Canada more Afghan citizens have kept their distance or joined the insurgency than have rallied to sign up for the American puppet army of Hamid Karzai.
Every tribesman in Afghanistan has a machine gun. If they wanted the Taliban out so badly they would have staged their own revolution. If they wanted a liberal democracy they would have begun to fight for it. It appears the only way America’s puppet government there can consolidate their power over the countryside beyond Kabul is with a foreign occupation.

It is all up to the NDP and their opposition to this war without a mandate has been mild to non-existent. Peace loving Canadians who do not want our nation inextricably linked to the criminal Bush Cartel need a leader and fast.

Forget the fact that more Canadians have died at the hands of American bombs in Afghanistan than at the hands of Afghani insurgents, forget the laundry list of war crimes committed by American forces and alphabet agencies there. Forget...

I guess we'll all see what Canadians think of their new role as America's junior imperialist lickspittles when more body bags start flying home.
It appears, presently, that Canada doesn’t mind dictating lifestyles and political systems with the gun barrel. Or do we?
I say not in my name.
At the time of posting this another Canadian is heading home in a coffin and four more have been injured by a roadside bomb.

A little anti-propaganda side note as the Canadian Military Command sends soldiers fanning out across the Canadian media to promote war as a lifestyle for Canadians:
If you pay your taxes you "SUPPORT THE TROOPS".
If you do not support this war you do not support government policy. See the difference and never let war mongers and their brainwashed thralls guilt trip you for having a conscience.
Remember what that did to the American public discourse.

"Canadian Values": As a signatory to the international land mine ban Canadian troops have refused to plant landmines in the already mine riddled Afghanistan countryside.
What happens?
American troops go ahead and mine the places Canadians won’t.
Canadian values take a back seat and disappear in this little pipelines and poppies gambit.

False flag terrorism - it is now only a matter of time.
The reasons for the occupation of Afghanistan are firmly rooted in the Bush Cartel's official conspiracy theory pertaining to the perpetrators of the 11/09/01 "terrorist" attacks on the U.S.
If you drink from their chalice of disinformation Kool-Aid and believe their half-assed conspiracy about that inside job then I guess you are o.k. with Total War against anybody who doesn't worship this weird Blue-Eyed War Jesus that I had never heard of before the rise of America's new Neoconservative imperialism.
With the appropriate Neocon puppets in place in our government we can expect our own contrived false flag terrorist attack on Canadian soil at anytime.
The fact that we now brazenly occupy a foreign land that has done NOTHING to Canadians is the perfect setup for patsy making. We have not developed the proper degree of hatred for Muslim nations and our Neocons will want to make sure that situation is remedied right fast. Canadians can expect a horror filled visit from the CIA funded, trained and manipulated patsies, Al CIAduh. (to use Kurt Nimmo's descriptive).

We will have our own visit from America's Orwellian Goldstein and the wheels of imperialist arrogance will spin out of control in the minds of all the little mouth-breathing Don Cherry templates among the excruciatingly uninformed Canadian public.

The sheep must have their newly minted hatred profitably directed (via chaos and fear) against the 'designated subhuman' enemy of our true controllers.

Now that Canada has shed the illusion of peacekeeping and committed to the multi-generational "Operation Enduring Freedom" as an arm of the American imperialist forces in Afghanistan the “patsies” are clearly distinguished for all the grazer/breeders stinking up their Canadian couches.
I predict we will receive a major false flag terror attack before the end of this decade by the same military industrial vampires that put America’s hatred and bigotry into narrow focus in 01’.

Fauxsama bin Goldstein will immediately take credit, the Neocons in Ottawa will finish what they are now starting and spend past our surplus and well into debt to heavily militarize Canada so we can join our glorious southern Neocon masters waging war against third world/oil rich/Muslim/ "Enemy of Israel" countries until every barrel of crude in the world has the stars and bars painted on the side and all the "Enemies of Israel" are 'vanquished' by western proxy armies.
Speak out and stop the war!

More Torture in Occupied Afghanistan
By Ted Rall

"Everyone loves Bush's war against Afghanistan, even though it was based on just as many lies as his assault on Iraq: Osama bin Laden probably wasn't in Afghanistan on 9/11 and was certainly not there by the time bombs began falling.

People approve even though, as in Iraq, Bush didn't send enough troops--8,000 where 500,000 were required--to provide basic security. Even though Afghans didn't greet us as liberators. Even though, as in Iraq, he installed a government composed of corrupt, violent and vengeful minorities, guaranteeing sectarian bloodshed and civil war.
And even though the news from U.S.-occupied Afghanistan--if you can find any--is as relentlessly bleak as that from Iraq. Afghanistan suffers its own litany of roadside bombs, suicide bombs, massacres of foreign aid workers, citizens terrorized by kidnappers and rapists. It even has its own Abu Ghraib."
