"While the 2,300 Canadian soldiers currently deployed in Afghanistan aren't directly involved in poppy eradication, they are seen as part of the U.S.-led effort, said the report.
Canada should step away from American policies on poppy farms and create its own policies to address the issue, said the council.
Afghanistan is responsible for 87 per cent of the world's supply of illegal opium, the United Nations estimates.
As many as 3.5 million Afghans are involved in the trade, which accounts for more than 50 per cent of the country's gross domestic product.
Most of that illegal opium ends up in Europe and the U.S. The report also said Canadian development initiatives in the country have failed because of the U.S.-led policies."

Fourth, in a move that profoundly pleased the Bush administration, Harper announced that his conservative government would scrap the Kyoto protocol on climate change. Fifth, to make sure that it is in the good graces of G. W. Bush, Harper let it be known that he is 100 percent behind him in his gambit with Iran."

The government had to do something as polls show the majority of Canadians do not support ‘President’ Harper’s folding of Canadian foreign policy into the Neoconservative American Imperialist agenda.
If an attack had occurred, most Canadians with a brain would make the association between Canada’s imperialist proxy army status and the resulting “blowback”.
Even though Canada hopped on the Bush/Cheney blood wagon and started giving gun barrel dictation to Afghanis, the perception of Canadians as "innocent victims of faceless evil" must be established and perpetuated by our craven "leaders" in order to make ‘sense’ of the senseless.

If anybody wondered why the Neocons needed to ram a snap stealth vote to extend our war in Afghanistan down the Parliament’s throat perhaps this “terror” scenario now unfolding might offer a clue.

As the two "leaders" on opposite sides of the same coin,
(‘President’ Harper and fake liberal Billy Graham), congratulate each other and the Canadian secret police on the “sting operation” that netted what they are both calling “terrorists” (without revealing any of what now will be classified as “secret evidence”), the die is cast, the patsies designated and the public reeling.

It would appear that a trial by ignorance is occurring in Canada as this alleged “terror-bombing plot” has been revealed in a massive fear inducing media blitz.
Just days after our secret police, “CSIS”, had announced “home-grown terror” is the greatest threat to Canada the apparent reason for this claim has been revealed in an explosion of assumption and incremental information leakage.
The 'facts' are not all present in the media about the 17 Muslims (aside from their names and home locations) rounded up after what has apparently been a years long investigation involving the tracking of “radicals” who have been “training” and building up supplies for what is assumed to be an imminent “terror” attack in Toronto.

I would never attempt to downplay the fact that there are radical Imams in the Islamic faith all over the world that will call upon Muslims for violent uprising (Jihad) as a response to Western wars and occupations.

Both feed off of each other while the respective citizens of their nations wilfully or unwittingly supply them with endless funds and disposable soldiers.

For those among us who have ceased to be informed “citizens” and happily degraded into status grubbing “consumers”, the mere mention of Fauxsama bin Goldstein’s almost mythical “army of darkness” is all it takes for them to beg for the removal of their personal freedom and the Neoconservative’s desired reality of a locked down, meticulously monitored, “North American Nation”.

Mosques are being vandalized and the vast majority of Canadian Muslims who came to Canada to escape religious extremism are now branded with it by the mainstream.
The idea that the only “terrorists” in this world are Muslims is mightily reinforced.
What now pasts for "journalism" in the Western media serves the Neoconservative agenda by promoting fear while never questioning the true motives of the West.
Our Canadian media exalts the heroism and necessity of our new Canadian militarism while staying oddly incurious about the origins and motivations of North America’s Neoconservative governments so-called “War on Terror”.

False Flag Watch:
With Muslims now 'clearly identified' as the “greatest threat” to Canadian’s continued unthinking consumptions and detachment from the true motivations behind today’s wars and occupations, anything that happens in Canada after this point will doubtless be attributed to “Radical Islam” regardless of any proof.
The patsies are now firmly established in the minds of the “consumers”.
Watch out Canada the next “hit” will most likely be professional, successful, and designed to reinforce the the Western corporate media’s vigorously perpetuated ideologies and goals of the Neoconservative/Zionist agenda.

A Personal Note:
Yesterday my wife, (who is beautifully brown), and I witnessed the beginnings of the tide of fear and ignorance oozing through the psyche of propagandized “white/Xtian” Canada.
As she drove to the edge of our driveway on her way to work a middle-aged white woman passed by the front of her car slowly.
This white woman, upon observing a brown person behind the wheel of the oncoming vehicle, mumbled to herself and did the “sign of the cross” over herself before driving away.

One could only assume that this television-programmed victim of “Brand associated Kanadian Kulture” had assumed my wife’s skin colour automatically made her one of those “terrorist people” causing the fearful media victim to quickly beg her invisible sky monster to deliver her from this petite, swarthy heathen.

Stop and Think for Yourself:
Fear and ignorance have been the stock and trade of the American Neoconservative bigots and it appears it might just get some quality play for the Harper/puppet Neocons here.

Use your own logic and for godsake use the internet because the Mainstream Corporate Media in Canada has joined their American counterparts in the practice of fearmongering and painfully incurious adherence to the myopic and self-serving Western “War on Terror” propaganda.
Let's not rush to vilify entire races and religions in the face of lopsided and biased Corporate media “coverage” of the disingenuous rationales of our Neoconservative warmongers.
