The Israeli Massacre at Qana.
It is not the first and, no doubt, not the last “incident” of Israel’s
“self defence” annihilation of Lebanon.
It seemed they had agreed to a 48-hour ceasefire but that ended after 24 hours.
The killing of all Lebanese now continues with a blood lust know only by imperialists and war criminals.
Israel will not stop until they once again run all of Lebanon.
Will they undertake another Nazi-like occupation like the one in Palestine?
With gutless and subservient international leaders like Stephen Harper giving the Zionists carte blanche it appears very likely.
Witness this latest Israeli atrocity at Information Clearing House.

Qana: Exterminating the Ants - Nimmo
"We are told, ad nauseam, Israel is a democracy, certainly true if one is Jewish. However, Israel is not a democracy for Israeli Arabs (who “enjoy” citizenship, so long as they don’t mind second class citizen status) and especially not for Palestinian Arabs, who are considered little more than an infestation of cockroaches.
In fact, according to a 2003 opinion poll in Israel (Jaffee Center for Strategic Studies), 31% of Jewish Israeli citizens support the expulsion of the Arab minority, and 46% support clearance of the territories, that is to say stolen land. Imagine likewise numbers in America in regard to Blacks or Mexicans or for that matter any racial or ethnic minority. It would be unacceptable. But for Israel this racism is quite natural—and it is glossed over or completely ignored in the corporate media. As Henryk M. Broder observes, in Israel “biology determines fate” and it is not far off the mark to state this mindset extends beyond the borders of Israel—in fact, Israel has no international accepted borders, but this is another issue—as people in neighboring countries of Arab biology are subjected to a harsh and often murderous fate, i.e., they are simply a bunch of Arabs, there are millions of them, same as there are millions of ants.
The last time we heard the “biology determines fate” argument, the Nazis were storming across Europe."

Lebanon destruction is joint Israeli-U.S. military operation, Israeli State Terrorism kills another Canadian, oh well...
Red Cross ambulances destroyed in Israeli air strike on rescue mission
Israelis Slaughter U.N. Observers
"After Israel bombed a U.N. shelter near Khiam, Lebanon, killing four observers, Daniel Ayalon, Israeli ambassador to the United States, had the audacity to tell Wolf Blizter of CNN he expects an apology from U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan for complaining."
Israeli attack kills Canadian
"UN chief Kofi Annan said Israel appeared to have struck the site deliberately.
Canada had eight personnel in the region as part of the UN Truce Supervision Organization.
One Canadian UN staffer was believed to be in the area struck by the bomb - a soldier with the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry who has reportedly been in the region for nine months."
Major Hess-von Kruedener serving with the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO) mission in south Lebanon is missing and presumed dead as a result of a six-hour bomb attack by Israeli forces during which they called Israel's military 10 times to tell them to stop.
UN calls for Mid-East ceasefire
(Harper doesn't - He waits for the Americans to decide)
"According to an initial UN investigation into the incident the observers were subjected to a six-hour bomb attack by Israeli forces during which they called Israel's military 10 times to tell them to stop."
"A UN rescue team also came under fire as it searched the rubble for survivors."
Killing Canadian peacekeepers is acceptable as long as it's done in the holy name of the Neoconservative Crusade for Greater Israel...very "measured".
Israeli Defense Force attack on Lebanon is joint Israeli-U.S. military operation
Wayne Madsen Report - July 26, 2006
"Our intelligence sources report that the Israeli Defense Force attack on Lebanon is being carried out as a joint Israeli-U.S. military operation. Moreover, there are joint Israeli and U.S. war rooms coordinating the U.S.-supported Israeli attacks on Lebanon. The ultimate aim of Washington and Jerusalem is not only to eliminate Hezbollah as a political force in Lebanon but also to remake Lebanon as an American and Israeli client state. Israeli forces are pounding parts of Lebanon, especially in the north, where there are no Hezbollah units and primarily Christian populations. In addition, Israeli forces are being aided by the Bush administration with high-resolution overhead imagery from U.S. spy satellites and signals intelligence (SIGINT) intercepts from National Security Agency assets, including SIGINT satellites."
Bush administration assisting Israeli Defense Force attack on Lebanon with overhead imagery and signals intelligence intercepts.
"The result of U.S. intelligence support for Israel is directly linked to the targeting of particular locations, including the Israeli launch of 24 high-explosive missiles on a block of ten buildings in south Beirut.
The entire block was leveled in the attack. The deliberate Israeli attack on a United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) outpost in southern Lebanon was the result of that post gaining information of Israeli atrocities committed against the civilian Lebanese population. The Israeli attack, called deliberate by UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, killed blue helmet peacekeepers from China, Finland, Canada, and Austria. Israeli continued to attack the UN post even as rescuers attempted to locate survivors in the rubble of the building.
The deliberate 1967 Israeli attack on the USS Liberty, an NSA spy ship monitoring communications during the Arab-Israeli Six Day War, was the result of the Liberty intercepting Israeli communications on the massacre by Israeli forces of surrendering Egyptian prisoners of war in Sinai. Israeli planes continued to attack the ship, even after it raised a large American flag. U.S. Navy and NSA survivors in the water were also strafed by Israeli aircraft."

Creating a so-called "buffer zone" by bombing the entire country of Lebanon?
Morality is not on our side
By Ze'ev Maoz - Haaretz
"There is a propaganda aspect to this war, and it involves a competition as to who is more miserable.
Each side tries to persuade the world that it is more miserable.
As in every propaganda campaign, the use of information is selective, distorted and self-righteous.
If we want to base our information (or shall we call it propaganda?) policy on the assumption that the international environment is going to buy the dubious merchandise that we are selling, be it out of ignorance or hypocrisy, then fine. But in terms of our own national soul searching, we owe ourselves to confront the bitter truth - maybe we will win this conflict on the military field, maybe we will make some diplomatic gains, but on the moral plane, we have no advantage, and we have no special status."

Scientists Say They’ve Found a Code Beyond Genetics in DNA
"Researchers believe they have found a second code in DNA in addition to the genetic code. The genetic code specifies all the proteins that a cell makes. The second code, superimposed on the first, sets the placement of the nucleosomes, miniature protein spools around which the DNA is looped.
The spools both protect and control access to the DNA itself.
The discovery, if confirmed, could open new insights into the higher order control of the genes, like the critical but still mysterious process by which each type of human cell is allowed to activate the genes it needs but cannot access the genes used by other types of cell.
The new code is described in the current issue of Nature by Eran Segal of the Weizmann Institute in Israel and Jonathan Widom of Northwestern University in Illinois and their colleagues.
There are about 30 million nucleosomes in each human cell.
So many are needed because the DNA strand wraps around each one only 1.65 times, in a twist containing 147 of its units, and the DNA molecule in a single chromosome can be up to 225 million units in length.
Biologists have suspected for years that some positions on the DNA, notably those where it bends most easily, might be more favorable for nucleosomes than others, but no overall pattern was apparent. Drs. Segal and Widom analyzed the sequence at some 200 sites in the yeast genome where nucleosomes are known to bind, and discovered that there is indeed a hidden pattern."

More "Measured Response" in Beruit
"In a conflict between a thousand-pound gorilla and a mouse, it's the gorilla which has to make concessions in order for the two sides to progress to the next level.
What can the Palestinians offer in the way of concession? Israel would reply to that question: "No violent attacks of any kind." But that would still leave the status quo ante bellum -- a life of unmitigated misery for the Palestinian people forced upon them by Israel.
Peace without justice.
Israel's declarations about the absolute unacceptability of one of their soldiers being held captive by the Palestinians, or two soldiers being held by Hezbollah in Lebanon, cannot be taken too seriously when Israel is holding literally thousands of captured Palestinians, many for years, typically without any due process, many tortured; as well as holding a number of prominent Hezbollah members.
A few years ago, if not still now, Israel wrote numbers on some of the Palestinian prisoners' arms and foreheads, using blue markers, a practice that is of course reminiscent of the Nazis' treatment of Jews in World War II."
Won't you pledge 150 dollars today and help send more weapons of mass destruction to Israel?

Poor Israel Needs More Guided Missiles...
"The decision to quickly ship the weapons to Israel was made with relatively little debate within the Bush administration, the officials said."
Makes sense, since the two governments are virtually indistinguishable at this point.
"Its disclosure threatens to anger Arab governments and others because of the appearance that the United States is actively aiding the Israeli bombing campaign in a way that could be compared to Iran’s efforts to arm and resupply Hezbollah."
"And it was such a well-hidden secret before now!"
Lebanon claims Israel using banned weapons against civilians
"Israel is using "internationally prohibited weapons against civilians" in Lebanon as the country faces "real annihilation," according to a statement from Lebanon Information Minister Ghazi Aridi Sunday after an emergency cabinet meeting.
Lebanese media reports state that Israel used phosphorus incendiary bombs and vacuum bombs [GlobalSecurity backgrounders] that suck up air and facilitate building collapses."
Lebanon victims buried in mass grave
"Army troops loaded the coffins three or four high onto trucks and took them to an empty lot outside their barracks, where two trenches had been dug.
The soldiers lowered the coffins into the grave as Israeli warplanes flew overhead, diving to fire missiles on targets in the nearby countryside."
The old Beirut is gone now

All About the Water and the Land...
Painting the Passports Brown
"During the years of southern Lebanon's occupation, there were persistant rumours, eventually proven unfounded, that Israeli engineers were constructing a tunnel to divert the waters of the Litani towards the south. As Lonergan and Brooks write, "the lack of any evidence supporting the claim of an Israeli diversion of Litani River water does not mean that some Israelis do not covet the Litani River.
It is the only nearby source of surface water that would allow Israel to maintain its present consumption rates and avoid the difficult choice of whether to reallocate water away from agriculture."

"I said hello and got a recorded message from Israel," she told Reuters.
In clear Arabic, the strong voice on the phone said:
"Oh Lebanese people, we tell you not to follow Hizbollah.
We will continue to strike and no one will bring your prisoners back from Israel except the Lebanese government."
Other residents of the south have received similar calls."

Israel may launch false flag war provocation vs. Americans in Lebanon
"It is imperative that the US and world population be inoculated against the provocation scenarios now being propagandized by CNN, MSNBC, and the rest of the controlled media."
"Steve" Harper and the Final Solution
"He's finally come out and said it!!!!
Harper: "While there may be differences in nuance in terms of reaction to current events, I think the international community does share a view of what the ultimate solution is," in the Palestinian conflict, Harper said at a joint media availability.
YYC: Jane Taber is no dummy. She is aware that Harper was "playing down" his pro-Israel stance for the benefit of the British cameras, and in order to appear a reasonable, self-actuated man. But when he says that Israel's response is "measured" and spouts like a robot all of the ad nauseum propaganda cliches as if they were indisputable facts - "Israel's neighbours don't want peace", "Israel has a right to defend itself", "Israel's right to exist", he gives himself completely away.
As an evangelical so-called "Christian", Harper's biblical solution is for the "children of Israel" to fully occupy Palestine. There's only one way to accomplish that if the Palestinians will not be meekly occupied. If Harper can cut off aid to children and hospitals simply because he doesn't like the elected government in that other democracy in the Middle East, then he doesn't flinch at the idea of Israel systematically disappearing both the Palestinian government and its people.
He is also willing to play God with the environment, not matter what the international community says, and in spite of the fact that Canada signed on to it. This man takes his cues from one source, not God, not his own brain, but from the brainless guy down south who claims to get his instructions from God.
Is George W. Bush Harper's messiah?"

What I am watching in Lebanon each day is an outrage
Robert Fisk in Mdeirej, Central Lebanon
The Independent July 15, 2006
"Terrorist, terrorist, terrorist. There is something perverse about all this, the slaughter and massive destruction and the self-righteous, constant, cancerous use of the word “terrorist”.
No, let us not forget that the Hizbollah broke international law, crossed the Israeli border, killed three Israeli soldiers, captured two others and dragged them back through the border fence. It was an act of calculated ruthlessness that should never allow Hizbollah leader, Hassan Nasrallah, to grin so broadly ay his press conference. It has brought unparalleled tragedy to countless innocents in Lebanon. And of course, it has led Hizbollah to fire at least 170 Katyusha rockets into Israel.
But what would happen if the powerless Lebanese government had actually unleashed air attacks across Israel the last time Israel’s troops crossed into Lebanon?
What if the Lebanese air force then killed 73 Israeli civilians in bombing raids in Ashkelon, Tel Aviv and Israeli West Jerusalem? What if a Lebanese fighter aircraft bombed Ben Gurion airport?
What if a Lebanese plane destroyed 26 road bridges across Israel?
Would it not be called “terrorism”? I rather think it would.
But if Israel was the victim, it would also probably be Word War Three."

EXCLUSIVE TO WMR.
"Our U.S. intelligence sources in Lebanon have exclusively reported to us the extent of Israel's Blitzkrieg attack on Lebanon, which has destroyed most of the country's critical infrastructures.
Beirut International Airport's newly-restored terminal, where many passengers, including Americans, were stranded after the Israelis carpet bombed the runway during flight operations, was bombed in the latest Israeli attack.
Israel has turned Lebanon into another Iraq -- there is no electricity and airports, roads, and bridges have been knocked out across the country. Israel has even bombed small ports preventing civilians from escaping to Cyprus. CNN and other Israeli lobby-influenced broadcasters are understating the number of civilian casualties in the repeated Israeli attacks. CNN's Washington bureau is editorially controlled by Wolf Blitzer, a one time employee of the Jerusalem Post and American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).
According to our U.S. intelligence sources, the numbers of dead are in the hundreds.
In south Lebanon, Israeli planes bombed three vans carrying families after they were turned away from a UN outpost while seeking protection. A total of 23 people were killed, including nine small children. The Israeli attacks have been described by various sources in Lebanon as "sub-human," "monstrous," and "animalistic."
Our intelligence sources phoned us before what they believe will be the targets of the next wave of Israeli attacks against the nation's telecommunications networks, including cell phone towers and exchanges.
The Israel regime is acting with the full approval of the Bush administration, both regimes that are totally beholden to neo-con interests intent on throwing the entire Middle East into a firestorm of destruction and death."

"Our intelligence sources in Lebanon have reported to us exclusively that Israel is now using poison gas and depleted uranium shells on towns in the south of Lebanon. Residents of the small village of Kasarshoba became violently ill, experiencing severe vomiting, after the Israelis hit the village with poison gas. In other cases, underground shelters in southern Lebanon were hit by Israeli depleted uranium shells.
Our sources also report that the entire southern suburbs of southern Beirut, with a population of 800,000, have been totally depopulated. Israel has targeted thousands of civilian homes for destruction.
Meanwhile, Israeli government spokespersons and Bush administration officials took to the Sunday morning talking head programs in Washington to defend Israel's barbarous actions.
The networks failed to present the views of Lebanese government spokespersons. Israel's and the Bush administration's line is that Israeli attacks are "precision targeted." Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice pointedly refused to criticize Israel on ABC's This Week."
Israeli Kadima (ex-Likud) Prime Minister Ehud Olmert joins Ariel Sharon in annals of Israeli leaders who committed war crimes in Lebanon.
American media is failing to report that the Israeli attacks on Lebanon and Gaza, like the U.S. attacks in Iraq, are violations of the Fourth Geneva Convention and Additional Protocols governing military attacks on civilians by governments that are parties to the conventions:
-Civilians are not to be subject to attack.
This includes direct attacks on civilians and indiscriminate attacks against areas in which civilians are present.
-There is to be no destruction of property unless justified by military necessity.
-Warring parties must not use or develop biological or chemical weapons.
