"It reminds me of an anecdote from Vladimir Bukovsky's Torture's Long Shadow: One nasty morning Comrade Stalin discovered that his favorite pipe was missing. Naturally, he called in his henchman, Lavrenti Beria, and instructed him to find the pipe. A few hours later, Stalin found it in his desk and called off the search. "But, Comrade Stalin," stammered Beria, "five suspects have already confessed to stealing it." Now we know why KSM confessed to over 30 acts of terrorism." The Wally-World of Wickedness!
The North American Union ID: The Database "So government and industry are completely incapable of protecting your data. What happens if they combine their ineptitude and work really hard together to protect your information?"
The Cult Of Information And Fear "If you control the spread of information you can control what people think. If you control what people think, you are, effectively, controlling their minds. And we come around in a circle to what is truly Cultic."
TV on the Radio featuring David Bowielink Province Suddenly, all your history's ablaze Try to breath, as the world desintegrates Just like autumn leaves, we're in for change Holding tenderly to what remains And all your memories, are as precious as gold And all the honey, and the fire which you stole Have you running through all your red-cheeked days Shaking loose these souls, from their sacred hiding space Hold your heart courageously as we walk into this dark place Stand, steadfast erect and see that love is the province of the brave Pushed under this expanse of bursting stars Let this burning brightly illumintate the where we are In this hollow that lovers' voices occupy Let it follow that we let it free, let it fly Breaking open the walls of this cage Intoxicated, oh so amazed Much like falcons tumbling from the heights at play Conjoined, talons engaged Hold these hearts courageously as we walk into this dark place Stand, steadfast beside me and see that love is the province of the brave.
I'm loving this tune, but then again I'm a sucker for anything D.B. does (and TV on the Radio is a good bunch as well). I like the sentiment, "..love is the province of the brave".
